HOLKHAM HALL WITH DEER ACRYLIC PAINTING FINISHED

Well, here it is complete and now framed up ready for the Alby Craft Fair at the end of the month. Very typically me with the foreground grasses and foliage painted thicker and layered to bring them forward yet not detract from the main scene. Lastly I softened the shadows in amongst the trees as I felt a smooth transition from the sunny areas was less harsh and unlikely to deflect the eye from the main view.

Yes, you achieved depth in this, and gave the viewers something to think about: always a good thing ~

I love it! Your trees are wonderful and once I had let my eyes wander over the deer I found myself looking through the trees to see what was in the background.

Joan, the trees are incredible. The painting provides a very rich viewing experience. This is a great painting. Congratulations!

Glad you found these pine trees pleasing to the eye girls and a curtain through to the unique architecture of Holkham Hall. Although flowers are part of my life I have always loved trees and really missed them during our short stay in the Fens. Many years ago I started a tree book for my eldest grand daughter, depicting all seasons from the glorious winter tracery, the summer and autumn colours and their fruits and blossoms. Must post from it some time. Lucky me now living in a county (Norfolk) full of woods and copses and treelined fields.
