ENGLISH COUNTRY GARDEN

I needed cheering up with the cold and snow and now miserable rain out there, so decided to create a typical English summer garden for myself. Washed colours of acrylic ink onto a sheet of Lana Vanguard and then had fun playing and layering!! How many plants can you name????

Oh my...daisies? hyacynths? lilies? What is the formal name for "red hot poker"? Are those ferns or daylilies? Sorry for all the rhetorical questions, but your painting is abundant with beautiful flora.
Going back to look again...

Hi Joan, good way to cheer up, by painting a summer garden. I'm surprised it is raining, I thought you had a drought in the UK? It is TIPPING it down here on my last day in NZ, but I went surfing anyway! Sx

You won't get many names from me, not being a gardener I just enjoy the most common things and don't know the names of anything else! ha ha But I still enjoy seeing someone's garden and all the work and love they put into it.
